Having closed at the end of March, Trish & Dave (along with help from Tom & Andy) have spent the past few months sorting the gems from the dust in the hidden depths of the Stores. With more than 60 years to wade through it has been a nostalgic and somewhat daunting task!

We would now like to offer you the chance for ‘One Final Fling’ where we will be offering large discounts on our remaining stock of helmets, clothing, consumables, etc.

We have also been pulling out loads of second hand parts (British & Japanese) so will have our very own in house ‘Auto Jumble’

Save these dates for your diary and come in and see us for a final time!

Friday Sept. 8th 10am – 5.30pm

Saturday Sept. 9th 10am – 4pm

Monday Sept. 11th – Friday 15th 9.30am – 5.30pm

Saturday Sept. 16th 10am – 4pm

Everything needs a new home – nothing is off limits!

Following on from our previous announcements, we have now sadly decided to call time on our family business. With Trish keen to retire and Dave with other ambitions to pursue, we will be closing the doors for the final time on 31st March after more than 63 years trading.

Joe in the workshops has now left and stores guru Ray is leaving today, Saturday 4th March. So, although we remain open until the 31st, it will be on a reduced basis. With this in mind please book Services, MOTs, etc as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

This decision has not been an easy one to make and is driven purely by genuine reasons and the fact that none of us are getting any younger!

Once again we would like to say a huge heartfelt ‘thank you’ to all our customers both past and present. Your support and that of our wonderful staff has enabled our family business to flourish over the years. We are very proud of the service delivered in that time and have so much to look back on with great affection.

We would love to see as many of you as possible over the next few weeks to share memories (and photos) to help celebrate “The End of an Era”.

On a more positive note, it is hoped that later in the year “Hammond’s” may be resurrected on a crowdfunding basis with new owners. We are looking to invest ourselves and be involved in the early stages of the new venture. The intention is to find a new location close to or within Cirencester suitable for a modern day ‘Bike Shop’, ideas and visions will be outlined in an announcement to follow soon.

Wishing everyone a very safe and healthy future,

Dave and Trish

Trish and Dave cordially invite you to their “Festive Nibbles ‘n’ Natter” on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th December. It would be lovely to see as many of you as possible.

There will be shop discounts with as much as 25% off clothing & accessories and 15% off parts & consumables, so come along and grab a fantastic Christmassy bargain.

Complementary refreshments will be also be served, and Andy will probably be here as well, sat in a chair, laughing a hearty Santa-like laugh.

Normal shop opening hours will apply, so 9am – 6pm on Friday, and 9am – 4pm on the Saturday.

Hope to see you there.

  • Trish, Dave & all the Staff at Peter Hammond Motorcycles

Due to Trish’s wish to retire and my own future plans to relocate, we feel now is the time for Hammond’s to take a new direction. To this end, we are seeking a suitable buyer for the business and thereby provide continuity for our valued customers, staff and suppliers.

Presently, Hammond’s will continue to operate on a ‘business as usual’ basis in respect of sales and service. Please be assured that we will make every possible effort to find a suitable buyer and that Trish and I would be happy to provide transitional support to a new owner if required.

Accordingly, any inquiries should firstly be directed to
Trish (trish@hammondmotorcycles.co.uk) or Dave (sales@hammondmotorcycles.co.uk)
and we will be glad to enter into discussion and assist a prospective sale.

At this point, we would like to say a massive, heartfelt thank you to all our customers both past and present. Your support and that of our wonderful staff has enabled our family business to run successfully over the last 63 years. We are very proud of the service delivered in that time and have so much to look back on with great affection. However, times change and we now look forward to Hammond’s evolving and moving onwards into a new era.
